Advanced Composites - Manufacturing
Assembly/Cut and Bond

Assembly of an Addax Carbon Fiber Roller begins by preparing the filament wound carbon fiber tube for the end fitting bond process. This process includes cutting the composite tube to length, abrading the internal surfaces, then cleaning and degreasing all of the components. The roller sub assemblies are then bonded to the carbon fiber composite tube using tough, flexible adhesives with excellent structural, mechanical and electrical properties. The adhesive will cure at room temperature but are typically exposed to elevated temperatures to reduce the cycle time.
